This stand works very well for supporting a Martin Logan Stage center speaker which weighs 39 lbs and is 34.6" wide. The upper metallic plate is very substantial and is large enough in width and depth to be useful with any center speaker in a home theater. One disadvantage is that the cable management feature does not accommodate thicker speaker cables/connectors. Other than that, this stand does the job well and looks good doing it.
