With its gently reflective half-mirror displays and true "separates"-quality sound, the D-F101S is primed to brighten your day with your favorite CDs and radio programs in your office, living room, bedroom, kitchen, or other choice location. The powerful 'little' system includes a CD player, an integrated amplifier and tuner, stereo bookshelf speakers.

The D-F101S receiver and CD player have a space-saving depth of just 9.8 inches and luxurious aluminum front panels. The system inherits the high-quality engineering found in our high-end amps, including discrete amplifier outputs for clear stereo separation, a large transformer for robust yet stable power (an impressive 70 watts x 2 into the supplied Mission bookshelf speakers), a high-capacity heat sink, and parts strictly selected for their contribution to sound quality.

The D-F101S provides a host of additional performance and convenience features, tone controls (bass, treble, loudness), dimmable display brightness (4 stages), auto function change (for one-touch switching from one sound source to another), a sleep timer (to automatically turn off the system in 10-minute increments up to 60 minutes), and an everyday timer (to automatically turn on/off the system at the same time each day).

All new for the D-F101S system, are a pair of acoustically matched speakers designed and engineered by Denon, but with the added sound tuning expertise of acclaimed European Speaker Designers. The supplied speakers each feature a 3/4" sheer microfiber soft dome tweeter and a 4 1/2" woofer made of a woven-glass composite for rich, dynamic sound with detailed midrange and extended, open-sounding high frequencies. The speakers are constucted of high quality MDF and finished in an attractive European white-wood grain finish, with hi-end 5-way binding posts, permitting a wide variety of speaker cable/connection choices.
