For the ultimate audio experience, the AVR-789 features Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding to handle the explosive soundtracks found on many of todays advanced Blu-ray high definition discs, along with Dolby Digital Plus and DTS ES 6.1 surround decoding functions. Iam very pleased with the denon AVR789 7.1 I've always been partial to pioneer receivers which put out very good sound for my 501 bose speakers I've tried sony tech and onkyo receivers with my 501 bose and they didn't have the quality of sound like my pioneer receiver but I had to give the old girl away because of weak capacitors I bought the Denon AVR789 from beach audio and it beats my old girl hands down and beach audio had a great deal [$][...] wanted 599.00 and[...] wanted even more a very excellent Denon reciever Thankyou Beach Audio Pete from Washington state the Hop capital of the world

Everything about this product is great - except for the remote. Some of the less-used functions are on the back of it under a flimsy panel - which promptly broke on me and now needs electrical tape to hold it closed. However, the sound is great, the connectivity is great (3 HDMI in) and the auto-calibration works well.
