Have had receiver for about a month now and have yet to find any major flaws. Previous review mentions that it upconverts to only 720p which is true if you connect via analog (RCA/Component) connectors but if you have multiple HDMI inputs that upconvert or display 1080i/p than this is not a problem as there are two HDMI inputs which carry process both audio and video. Have my Dish HD receiver routed thru HK 247 via HDMI and looks/sounds great (Watched The Matrix on TNT HD the other day and looked awesome). I am not an audiophile by any means but I do work in the tech field and I did not have any particular issues with setup. Manual could use some work but what manual doesn't. On top of all this, the receiver looks great. I have a Samsung DVD and Samsung HDTV which match perfectly (had to make a deal with the wife to not buy some hulking black receiver so I was pleasently surprised to find a high end receiver that looked good). Haven't really had a chance to test with music so cant speak to that, but movies and DVDs look/sound great.

Displays video from DVD source only and will not pass audio through the HDMI connection. Optical audio worked once from the cable box then quit. Manual says that this unit will only display 720p? What's up with that? Avoid, it's not worth the hassle to wrestle this one. HK needs to redesign it.
