Having recently upgraded to 7.1 this seemed like a logical accessory to protect my sub and prevent any spikes through the RCAs. The only issue I came across was during the install in that you have to make sure that you tighten it the right amount. Either to loose or to tight will cause the protection light not to turn on. Once I backed off the screw a little it turned right on.
