protector on my second DLP television. Not quite apples to apples... but if u factor in cost, there is no comparison. The Belkin does the job at a lower cost. Monster is just a name with a big price tag.
sexy look, cool display of current line voltage, amps supplied. can't say i notice a difference in the quality of audio/video; however, i feel it's well worth the money to protect my expesive equipment.
Plugged all 13 components of my AV into the box and looks and
works great. Had a lightning storm and the box made a nice
clean trip when a strike cause brownout/overvoltage. Power
came back after the grid was ok. So far so good.
Just perfect ,the rigth partner for my Home theater system

Got this for my new basement home theater system (sony dvd, denon 3805, tivo, outlaw audio lfm-1, sony 27" crt tv--no money for a new monitor yet!, a tivo, a network switch, and a wireless access point, and some lighting). Everything's plugged into this console. It looks pretty slick as a component in the system. It's cool to sometimes monitor the voltage reading on the display, and it's really nice that the lcd has a several brightness settings.
You can have any of the plugs be switchable --or not-- from the master switch on the front, and you can set delays for the switches, as well.
The extra plug on the front of console is convenient, too. When I bring my laptop downstairs, I plug it into this front socket.
Overall, great looks, great functionality. However, while there is over-voltage protection, I don't see thing it does voltage regulation... there's nothing really mentioned about handling under-voltages, or brownoutes. For that, it gets dinged a star.
I just received this product and it is perfect for my new home theater. I can now rest assured that any "brown outs" that occurr within my home due to the wiring (the house is over fifty years old) will not adversely affect my system components. This product provides the phase 6 filter circuitry and offers enough outlets to handle all aspect of my system - and I am sure yours too. [...] I am glad I made this purchase and now feel secure that all my entertainment system components will be safe from damage.
