The Fuji V10 camera is great. The large LDC provides easy viewing and its pocket size makes it wonderfully portable for hands required adventures.
So far I have been having a ball experimenting with the Fuji V10 that I got on March 1, 2006 [...]. It has a lot more features and takes much better pictures under more difficult circumstances than my Casio EX-S3, which was my former "take everywhere" camera. The V10 is small enough to be my new "take everywhere" camera. The only downside is that it uses an XD card.
The camera takes exeptionally good pictures - point and shoot seems to cover almost any situation well!
Shutter lag is real, however, unless you press the shutter button half way down so the camera can focus...THEN shutter lag is absent. SO, shutter lag is really still an issue, but it is shorter than almost any other digital camera I tested and researched.
Aftermarket replacement batteries are plentiful and very inexpensive (on ebay).
The Xd picture card that comes with the camera is too small for most people, but, then again, a new, bigger card is inexpensive when you compare what you get...
The FUJI software may be useful to some, but if you just load the USB driver, then you can download pictures almost instantaneouly via the enclosed USB cable and use your favored viewing and editing program to mess with them.
The 3" LCD is fantastic!
Battery life is great as well...
Overall, this is simply the best digital camera in its size and pixel range. There is nothing that comes close to its size, features, picture quality and price.
