Comments about Motorola Motorola SX800R GMRS/FRS 2-Way Radios with 16-Mile Range:

These radios are very similar to many of the other motorolas that are the same style. If you have used the others you will know how everything on these radios works. One of the best things is the size. For being a smaller size for a 2-way, they are very durable, weather resistant and can be easily carried either in a pocket or with the belt clip.

The reception is definately not 16 miles, maybe on perfectly flat land with no buildings, trees or anything else. But I have used them from about 8 miles with clear reception in mountainous terrain while hunting.

I have always liked Motorola products and I would reccomend this one as well.
