    I bought the recorder to replace an older and more expensive Olympus Pearlcorder that was failing. The price of the Sanyowas right, especially when I was looking for a professional model that has sliding functions as opposed to pressing buttons for recording, playback or review and fast fowarding. It is bulkier than the Olympus, but not bad. Old style professional microcassette recorders are harder to come by with all the new digital models
