sent 2 of these 2.0 extension cords to my sister about 5 months ago for use with a cheap USB wireless card.
connected to the full, double-length the extra 10ft lets you maneuver the wifi antenna into signal sweet-spots further away from the PC.
with such a long USB cable, I measured a tiny loss of usable signal before I sent them off. so, only using as much as you need to get good reception is key.
these 10ft cables are great, *way* cheaper then extender cabling for an analog Wifi antenna.
