Comments about Thermaltake Thermaltake A2140 Fan Speed Control XController:

I can't begin to tell you what a piece of garbage this thing is.Without getting too technical I'll say this...Drops voltage beyond capable startup voltage of most computer fans at low settings. (sniff, what's burning?)Adapters for fan connections will short against metal case if user doesn't know enough to cover the OPEN leads.Case is flimsy at best.Power cord strain relief is mounted in the way of the pc board which sits cocked in flimsy case.Fans with any good amount of current draw will probably fry the output transistor at the low setting as there is no heat sink on the transistors.High speed setting loses too much voltage to allow your fan to go full speed and full torque.Directions.... don't look too hard... comes with none.Move along.. nothing here to see with ThermaltakeBeach Audio - great prices, [...]Not their fault that the Thermaltake A2140 is junk.

Comments about Thermaltake Thermaltake A2140 Fan Speed Control XController:

I bought this thing to quiet a couple of noisy fans. It worked. It went into a desktop that we use as a file server so not much heat is generated. Could live without the colored florescent lights, (blue for low, green for middle, red for high) It was an inexpensive fix for an annoying problem I buy it again [...]
