I selected this power supply for dual purpose work. I engage in gaming and employed this supply with a Yorkfield Core 2 Quad processor, Asus Maximus Extreme Motherboard, 10k RPM SATA drives, overclocked RAM, and dual graphics cards (Radeon HD3870 PCI express). I experienced no problems to date, as the price suggests it should not.
In addition I also employ the system for complex research work involving network analysis, protocol development, and very large string matching operations. Utilizing the processor at 100% and virtually all RAM over the course of 15-20 hours produced no problems.
