This is the 3rd ATI 3870 video card I have bought since the 1st of 2008. 2nd Asus card rebuilding my 3 computers. The 1st 2 cards have fans that vent the heat out of the computer through a card slot. This card has a fan that moves the air around inside computer. It is not like the picture of it. I was disapointed that it was not what I expected. But I have installed another case fan to pull heat away from the video card. The card works great. I can not tell any difference between any of the 3 cards. I would have given it 5 stars if it was not for the fan, it cools the card ok but not what I wanted or believed I was purchasing.

I switched to this board in my HTPC because I was unhappy with the HDTV rendering with my high end NVDIA based board. The difference is remarkable. The rendering is much faster and has eliminated the jerks and hesitations I had been experiencing. The color space is much more accurate on this board than on the old one. It runs quiet and cool as well.
