Comments about Saitek Saitek X52 Flight Control System For Pc - Joystick, Throttle - Cable - Usb (saitek Ps28):

When I first pulled the X-52 out of it's box, my eyes lit up, the stark contrast of the brushed metal (I'm assuming aluminum) against black plastic is superb. As far as installation, it was relatively simple. I inserted the CD, I told it to install the drivers and the SST (Saitek Smart Technology) profiling software. I thought I had a problem with the ministick on the throttle control, however this was a user error, and as such corrected itself.

I ordered this Flight Control System specifically for Il-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles, and it works miracles. I found a profile available on the Saitek website, that set all my controls for me, without having to go through the process of setting it for myself. The buttons are nice, the metal trigger responds to my sudden, and not so sudden commands. The MFD helps me to not get too lost in a game, because of the clock displayed on the lower right side of it. The only thing I do not like are the detents on both of the rotary switches, they are hardly noticable in the heat of combat.

The LED's allow me to know which button I'm hitting even out the corner of my eyes... very handy. And the MFD backlight makes it great for seeing in the dark (I play all games with no lights on)

The throttle is very ergonomic, as well as the joystick itself, The only downfall of either of these is in the fact that unlike Saitek Cyborg, you cannot change them from a right handed configuration to a left handed.

Overall this is well worth the money due to button placement, design aspects, and sheer usability.
