Comments about Amplivox Amplivox S602m 25 Watt Piezo Dynamic Megaphone With Detachable Coil Cord Mic:
I started with a 10 watt megaphone that worked fine but was not as loud as I wished for my use. I went online and found this Amplivox 602M. It has the power, all right.
I wanted a clear-sounding megaphone which is also lightweight. Amplivox 602M is both.
I returned the first one because when the mike is clipped on the megaphone rear, the megaphone howls with backfeed , even at low mike volume.
However the megaphone works fine at all volumes when I dismount the mike and hold the mike in one hand and the megaphone out front in the other hand. It would be more convenient lots of times to speak with the mike mounted.
The replacement megaphone acted the same way so I kept that one.
I wish that the battery compartment hinge was huskier and better fastened into the plastic than a few small brads per side. But it works. I cannot say if any other megaphones do better.
I keep knocking the side switch and getting an earful of siren or whistle. Diddlers also get tempted by switches. I wish they mounted the switch in a recess behind a lift up cover so that one had to make a deliberate effort to reach the switch. This would also help protect a friend standing nearby.
I would like to see Amplivox be successful with that last 1% that makes 20% of difference to me.
