The Zoom/Modem V.92 PCI is a Plug-and-Play internal modem which is easily installedinto a PCI slot of a Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 or XP computer. Performance of theModel 3025 is enhanced by an on-board Digital Signal Processor (DSP) which performscomplex modulating/demodulating functions. The DSP provides a more stablesystem and better performance than "soft" Windows-only modems.

While the modem performed perfectly, appx. a week after installing it, during some windows updates a conflict with my pc's (a brand new Vista) reared it's ugly head. I got a blue screen at start up each time and it sinply would not boot up. This was true even in safe mode. Finally after spending a few hundred dollars for and 9-10 hours on the phone with tech software support we got it to boot up in safe mode. Once the blue screen eroor was analyzed, it clearly pointed the to drivers for this Zoom Modem.
I did speak to a Zoom tech support person and he was unaware of this kind of problem occuring with anyone else. None the less, l will return the modem ASAP.
