I liked the older black and decker versapak system and I still have that stuff and it still works fine. These batteries are lithium technology and higher voltage thus should last a lot longer. This little driver is very handy, I use it to work on computers and around the house for light jobs. It has two modes to make it easier to avoid stripping screw heads. It can also do very light duty drilling. It comes with a very nice case and some common screw driver heads and one or two small drills. I use this thing a lot and have yet to exhaust a single battery.
