I STRUGGLED TO FIND A COMPACT STEREO CASSETTE PLAYER ON THE MARKET I COULD PLAY CASSETTE TAPES ON. IT WAS SMALL ENOUGH TO PUT ON THE HEADBOARD SHELF OF MY BED, SO I COULD LISTEN TO MUSIC FINALLY WITH SOME CLARITY WHILE GOING TO SLEEP. THIS MODEL WAS PERFECT FOR MY NEEDS. EVEN THOUGH THE SOUND IS NOT EXTRAORDINARY, IT WAS MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED FOR MY PURPOSES. THREE CHEERS!
I use this radio / tape player as battery operated only. Had some problem getting the batteries into the radio and had to force them into position. The compartment should be about 1/8" longer.
The tape player works well for recording and playback. Sound quality for the radio is average and it is lightweight.
