This item is well designed for use in the rain, and has a fits the CD player closely enough to prevent excess movement inside the pouch. It also has a low profile on the body, so it can be worn comfortably while doing outdoor work of most any kind. The only downer is that the belt is quite short. I got it for my dad, whose waist is 36", and it fits him tightly -- with the belt fully extended. There are a lot of people who wouldn't be able to wear it at all. I guess a "sports belt" is only meant for people who work out all the time!
