Product works well, drains batteries pretty quickly but other than that i have no real complaints.
I haven't flown with them, yet, but even at home they cut out the refridgerator and dishwasher noise to extremely low levels.
In active mode, they enhance bass as well as noise cancel. This was fine for me, but you may need to adjust bass on your player lower to bring everything back to level.
I had listened to the Bose on ears on a plane, and I think these JVC's will perform just as well for 1/3 the price.
I'm using them with a Cowon D2 player and I've been very pleased with the fidelity when not powered on.
After discovering I had some hearing loss, full ear noise reduction headphones were suggested by my doctor. After shopping around, this model kept coming in as one of the top two in all reviews I read, and from my own testing compared VERY favorable to the BOSE model considered the industry best [...] They fit nice and snug and have caused me no discomfort after extended use. The noise reduction works really well, and while I've heard some complain of a buzzing sound, I have not noticed it. I bought it for iPod use mostly, but comes with 2 other adapters, I believe, as well as a cool litle carrying case. All in all, a very well perfoming product which I highly recommend. [...]
I could finally understand the dialogs on the airplane movies!Sound from a computer or MP3 device is great with deep and rich bass when using the noise cancellation feature.Box is small when compared with similar products.Ear pads are soft and comfortable, however due to smaller size (price to pay for a smaller box), they rest on the ear and can cause discomfort if you use spectacles. I solved the issue by adjusting the spectacles as low as possible on my ears
For the money, these are an excellent choice in noise cancelling headphones.
