These headphones are great. I bought them because I lost my pair of Aiwa noise cancelling headphones and these had a good price from a fairly respectable company. In comparison to my old headphones, the noise cancelling isnt quite as good, some sound still gets through, but they are definitely worth the price. I like the big cushioned part that goes over your ear and that they are slightly curved back to fit over your head and ears better. They're very well designed. As far as the music goes, the bass response is ok, it cant really handle really low stuff like an 808 or anything, but they still sound good. A little to many mids, but you get what you pay for. [...] Then again, I'm really picky about how my audio stuff sounds because I'm a musician. I would definitely recommend these.

I got a set of these on sale and really like them. All [...] noise cancelling headphones are going to let some ambient noise through, but these do really well with steady state noise (airplanes, computer fans, etc) and the sound quality is very good. All you would need for most portable music players. Comfortable, nicely finished, and fold down small for a full over-the-ear design.

The ear cup fell off about 2 days before my 30 day warranty [...] was to expire. [...] I was able to receive a refund directly from Philips.

I got 2 pairs of these primarily for my 3-year-old and his Mom to enjoy a portable DVD player in the car on long trips. They have worked well on three such trips so far this summer, and I have occasionally used them for an MP3 player while driving (probably not legal!) They effectively block road and wind noise. I have also tested the headphones standing in front of the clothes dryer and dishwasher at home, and they effectively block this type of noise. I also found they will somewhat reduce the background noise of a TV in the next room, etc. The fidelity is probably a little too mid-range (I prefer a lot of treble), but these seem like a pretty good value considering the alternative. Note that these do NOT have an in-line volume switch, which I think is a good thing for a toddler, and having tried the ear-bud style with an in line switch myself. Part of the reason these work relatively well is because they have a large earcup that effectively covers the ears, unlike other styles I have tried. My only gripe is that my son can easily remove the ear pads by accident. Otherwise a fine choice for the money!
