I use this product at work. It isn't too loud and runs directly from my MP3 player. All powered speakers get radio interference from cell phones. Unpowered speakers don't pick up the cell phone radio signals. This speaker is ideal for me.

I bought these speakers and after one month there was something wrong with the wires. If I moved the wires into a different position the speakers would sometimes work, sometimes not. Eventually they stopped working no matter how I adjusted the wires.
