Link with Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 provides the best value and

Elements 2.0 includes PYRO AV Link, an external box that connects
to your computer via FireWire. With Composite, S-Video and
Component connectors, capture video from any source.

for home video editing. It automates tedious tasks so you're free
to create cool effects and transitions and easily burn DVDs (Adobe
