Use this in a home theatre room 18'x 16' and it literally shakes the house. You can actually hear it in the front yard. This Sub is a good value and good sound.

For the price you really can't go wrong. I wanted to expand my current BIC system and begin heading down the road to a surround system. This was the next piece of the puzzle and I'm quite pleased with this unit. I especially like the versatility of hook-up with either the direct sub line or line level inputs. Well thought out and works well so far!

Be sure you have the system to back up the power provided by this sub. It could be "too" bassy (if possible) if the rest of your audio is lacking. Make sure it has a good clear feed to maximize its awesomeness.

I have to admit, I was extremely pleased with this purchase. The BIC V-1020 was worth every penny. I had done extensive research before making my purchase. I had read several reviews. I also did alot of price shopping. Installation was a breeze, after purchasing an RCA cable, and the sound quality was amazing. I'm not sure how effective it would be in large spaces, but it was perfect for my needs. [...] (I just wish I had ordered the RCA cable at the same time.) [...]

My old sub played out and I needed a new one at a great price.I put in War of the Worlds to test it out. It blew me and my wifey away. It is also great for music. Old cds have new life with awesome bass.

"Definitely love my new ...

"Definitely love my new BIC subwoofer. This is a serious unit and quite an upgrade from the one that came with my home theater in a box. That one recently stopped working and I decided to find a better replacement. Glad I saw this one [...], the difference is like night and day. It is really well constructed and solid. My home theater receiver has a subwoofer out jack, so connecting this baby took all of 3 seconds. Loved that. I'm not an audiophile but I think this sub produces rich and abundant bass. My wife is complaining so I know it's good. From a price/performance standpoint, I think this baby would be hard to beat."

Just found out also that its a digital sub with a BASH amplifier. Its also has a easy to replace fuse on the rear panel.

"Wow...is all I can say ...

Wow...is all I can say about this subwoofer. The reason I bought this model was because I had heard some rave reviews about its performance to price ratio. I hooked it up, threw in war of the worlds, and knocked many things down/over in my room to my suprise. This sub is very well designed and put together. It has your usual high end features such as high level binding posts, low level input with switch for type of receiver, volume and frequency knobs, off/auto/on switch, and phase switch. It also has this Venturi vent which helps it achieve its real 26hz frequency response. And even at high volumes there is no port noise. The bass is very DEEP and accurate. This sub definitely lives up to the hype it I was told about before purchasing. [...] This is really worth much more than it costs.
