    Excellent! We love it!

    Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My kids are taking piano lessons and this is the perfect keyboard for them to learn on. Sounds and feels like a grand piano. They love to play it. I love that, even though its a full size key board, its very narrow and fits into small spaces.

"As my 5 year old kid ...

By Kyungjin A Verified Reviewer from Undisclosed on 09/05/2006

As my 5 year old kid started to take piano lessons, and as I have to move out soon, I had to get an affordable digital piano. Probably the most affordable one with the realistic hammer action and piano sound. The sound quality of the grand piano 1 (there's also grand piano 2), which I cared most, was as good as i expected. Hammer action was really good: I've been to a store to test various models, both acoustic and digital, and this one gives you just the right feeling. More about the sound quality of grand piano 1. I have a rather sensitive ear and the piano sound is just like that from the speaker of my audio system. The real piano sound is indeed different from the sound from your audio equipments, and it was just like playing a recorded CD. First I thought it was because I tried the demos, but it became evident after i played myself. So the piano sound is very good but some will feel, like me, that something is missing. Also the touch-sensitivity needs to be improved a little bit. I don't know how many levels this machine has, but a very strong stroke is now really distinguishabel from just a strong stroke. Heard from somewhere that px-100 (I might have got this one unless I came to know about this info) has a sound quality worse than px-110. Overall, average users will be very satisfied, but if you have a trained ear and care most about piano sound, you would feel this subtle difference from the real acoustic piano. But at this price range, with CD-quality sound and realistic hammer action, you won't be disappointed.

    "This is a fabulous ...

By Emily H Verified Reviewer from Undisclosed on 08/31/2006

This is a fabulous piano. I love the weighted hammer-action feel of the keys, although I wish the tension was adjustable (the touch is still a tad too light). There aren't a whole lot of bells and whistles on this thing, but it has all the essentials. The sustain pedal that comes with it is quite flimsy, but I just taped it to the floor and that helped. The piano is suprisingly lightweight for being a full 88 keys. I've noticed a little lag when pressing multiple keys at once - so those songs with huge chords can sound a little off. The speakers lose their quality when you turn up the volume, but sound just fine when at a normal level. My friend has a similar casio (not a privia) that was is the $600-700 price range that was extremely nice, but this is a good affordable alternatiave.

    "I was totally pleased ...

By James H Verified Reviewer from Undisclosed on 07/25/2006

I was totally pleased with this product. The Casio PX-110 has a great piano sound, has the keyboard feel of an acoustic piano and is lightweight and compact. Should make a good gig instrument. I have not yet tried driving an amplifier with the output. I notice that the keyboard has midi in and out, two earphone jacks but no designated line output. I am assuming that one could drive a keyboard amp with the earphone jack but I am not sure how well that would work. Overall though, a great product at a very reasonable price!!
