We just purchased a home in Parker, Colorado that has a media room, however all the components for the media room had to be purchased. We opted for the Channel Plus MDS-6A to provide a variety of media options throughout the house. We purchased this on our own and the installer was VERY impressed with how easy it was to install and all the features it can do! So are we. My wife and I fall asleep to our favorite music every night by the push of a button next to our bed as we also purchased the control stations that supplement this wonderful unit! We couldn't be more pleased!

The ChannelPlus MDS-6A unit works perfectly and can be easily set up by the average homeowner. It only requires speaker wires and a CAT-5 wire running to each zone. It provides very good sound. Most importantly, programming it with MDS-2A keypads really is a breeze and the "cloning" feature makes updating the other keypads easy to do. Although I was very leery of whether it would be easy to program, it's worked perfectly for me by "learning" the IR signals from any of my stereo equipment's remotes. Another cool, undocumented feature is that the "All" IR output can be used as an IR repeater, in case you want to lock up all of your equipment (including your home theater system) inside a closet. It helps if your contractor has installed ethernet connections for the CAT5 wiring running to each zone (male connector in each zone's outlet box and female connector in a wall plate next to the MDS-6A), because making all of the connections yourself can be time-consuming. All in all, I couldn't be happier with the ChannelPlus MDS-6A unit.
