Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I have a moderate-to-severe hearing loss, and this is the first and only cordless phone that has ever worked for me. The "Digital Clarity Power" feature makes a world of difference, cuts down on static on the line and "fuzzy" sound so I can actually understand most of what the other person on the call is saying. I like the "tone" switch with 3 different settings; not all voices sound best with the same one. Voices do sound filtered, not like a face-to-face conversation, but understanding is really the most important.

I am hard of hearing and I wear hearing aids. This phone has the best sound quality I have ever experienced in a phone. I use with my hearing aids on. Contray to the Clarity C430, which I also own, this phone has no ocasional interference noise. The one drawback of this phone is a design flaw of the wall mount. The phone will fall off the mount due to its inclination. So, I am using it as a desk phone.
