Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I purchased this phone for my Mom who is hard of hearing. Works great to amplify volume. Phone is to slim. Easy to wrap your fingers around phone and unknowingly press mute. After setting it up for her, she presses other buttons and answering machine setting changes. Set up instructions could be better. Phone with less features would be better for her.
