Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The boombox is compact, produces great sound and has very intuitive controls. Its dual voltage makes it great to carry on a trip abroad. One thing I would have liked is an LCD display that would display CD Titles (like most MP3 Players do).
