I needed to replace a kitchen portable and had limited space. This unit fit nicely and now I can watch DVD there too. Average picture and sound quality, but fine for news in the kitchen.

This tv has great local channel reception when used with the antenna that was included. It is perfect for our hurricane seasons in Florida. Also travels well as it is light and compact.

So Far So Good!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
The day after I got this low end (When I say low end I'm talking price.) 12 volt TV/DVD combo I installed it in my big rig Peterbilt. I made sure it was highly secured on the shelf in the sleeper, meaning it doesn't move an iota when I'm bouncing down the road, I think that's important because it's not the beefiest or sturdiest piece of electronics I've ever handled but for the price I didn't expect much more. All I can say is the unit has been in my truck for 3 weeks and is performing as advertised. It also plays my VCD's, SVCD's, and Digital home movies I put together on the "puter. I thought the stereo sound out of the unit was exceptionally good but maybe that's because of the small enclosed area I have it in. If I can get a year of use out of this unit I'll think I got my money's worth. So far So Good!

A good performing TV-DVD and MP3 player. I've also played CD's in it and love the volume that the speakers give out. Although the speakers are small and not the best fidelity available, they are still quite acceptable in a bedroom or office space. The TV reception I experienced was better than the set it replaced. However, I live in a rural area and one needs to apply an outdoor antenna to the set to obtain an ideal picture. But a few UHF channels do come in, albeit "snowy" but watchable, from as far away as 175 miles. So I was impressed. I'm happy with the purchase of this TV-DVD.
