The built-in CD player features precision Burr-Brown audiophile D/A converters, and features CD-R and CD-RW disc playback compatibility, along with MP3 and WMA playback capability. The D-M37 is fully prepared for portable audio players, and features a front panel USB connection port for MP3 players or USB drives. As with many other Denon models, the D-M37 is also equipped with iPod dock connectivity.

I looked for a VERY long time for some sort of mini system to go in a large living room with tall ceilings. After reading many reviews, and testing all available at my local stores, I decided to go with this Denon. I did test the highly rated iSource from Polk, & the whole Bose line but wasn't impressed. I am very happy with this. Plenty of bass(that was my concern), & plenty loud for the large room that it is in. I would consider myself very picky, and would have no problem recommending this. And, it is cheaper than the others by a couple of hundred!

Great little system for small to mid-size rooms. Quality components, good sound. Systems is a snap to set-up. Suggest upgrading the speaker wire and adding a subwoofer to round-out the sound. I chose the Yamaha YST-SW216BL - killer little sub at a great price. I would rate the sound quality of the system (with a subwoofer) as very good to excellent, rivalling much larger and more expensive systems. If you have space considerations this is the system for you.

Difficult to decide which buttons to use to tune or modify station selections. Also, 10% total harmonic distortion is what one finds in cheap boom boxes and is unacceptable for a quality audio amplifier.

Best audio quality that I have ever heard from a bookshelf sized system. Very clear and crisp, even with volume cranked way up. Output on back to connect a subwoofer, but many people won't need it; the bass response is rich and full as is. Excellent choice for a micro audio system.
