I received the Denon S-302 about two weeks ago. It's great. I have to say that I'm older, not an audiophile, and not into movie "extravaganzas" with special effects, explosions, etc. so keep that in mind if your goal when watching these kinds of movies or listening to certain CDs is to shatter glass or kill the dog next door. For my wife and I, however, the Denon is perfect. The Denon was very easy to set up and it is very easy to use. The one "problem" I am having is with the wireless connectivity - and I must say that I have not spent a lot of time on the issue nor have I researched a potential solution. Be that as it may, it seems that the wireless security with the Denon is WEP only and I use WPA with TKIP. A work-around might be running a CAT 5 cable from my switch and not using the wireless - this would not be a problem for me. I have a Polk Audio XM receiver plugged into AUX1 of the Denon and we listen to classical music or 40's music or Sinatra type music and it is on all of the time. The sound is magnificent. I also have a lot of classical CDs and cranking up Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen is a listening event. Crisp and clear with all the highs and lows intact. There seems to be a commonality between the Denon remote and the Polk Audio XM receiver that has caused me some momentary puzzlement when the XM receiver switches channels just because I used the Denon remote. Not a big deal. I coupled the Denon with a Toshiba HDTV. The connectivity used is HDMI. The Denon DVD player is great. I'm still fiddling around with picture size and stuff trying to find the best size screen - so I'm not fully experienced with that. The tuner on the Denon is also very good with a whole lot of presets. I wall mounted the two speakers with the included brackets. That could have been easier. The brackets are okay but I see room for improvement. It is hard to explain in writing just what I mean so I won't. The sub-woofer is the only item that needs an electrical connection. That surprised me. There is an amphenol connector between the sub-woofer and the Denon player. The connector is quite large and I had to enlarge the hole in the back of my cabinet to get it through. Not a big deal if you have the tools. Using the Denon, switching between modes, using the remote, etc. is very easy. Once again, I love the sound and the picture and I think the S-302 is terrific and I would highly recommend it.
