Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I use this as headphones for my laptop. I hate winding and unwinding cords, and I often need to pack up quickly, so these headphones fill that need. The sound doesn't have great clarity and the highs aren't great either. It does what I want them to do, which is let me listen in privacy, but for an audiophile, this would be torture.
