I bought this D/A to use with a HDTV that had only an optical digital audio out TOSLINK connector. It worked great for analog and digital cable TV channels. But any time I tuned to a HD TV channel or to the HDMI-input DISH receiver there would be no analog signal out. Gefen tech support said that for HD channels you need to use their GTVDD2AA model D/A. I returned the Gtv-digaud-2aaud to Beach and am waiting for the GTVDD2AA to be back in stock.
