This "High Speed" USB Serial Adapter supports data rates up to 230 Kbps---twice the speed of a standard PC serial port. I needed to connect a lab instrument with DB9 serial connector to a PC with USB. The Keyspan CD/driver is very easy to install and configure. I had a problem initially getting it to communicate until I added a DB9 female-female null modem cable on the instrument side, but once I understood and added this the adapter performs without problem.
