l5 inherits the same inner workings as the l7, like the cutting-edge solokon, the vacuum-formed, ultra-rigid cone used to push massive amounts of air. & just as its predecessor, l5s motor structure uses high-temp dual voice coils, a poly-cotton semi-progressive spider, long-lasting tinsel leads, the effective uniplate pole piece/back plate, & a t-cut top plate for dispersing heat & creating immense power handling.

a wide santoprene surround easily handles the punishment handed out by the l5s motor & cone, & a rear foam gasket secures the stamped-steel basket to any baffle. The steel basket w/spring-loaded terminals & a tough-looking magnet boot, the logo-bearing protective front gasket, & solokons hot matte finish make the solo-baric l5 rugged enough to take onto any city street.
