No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The product does what it says. it allows you to plug your iPod into your car stereo through the cars stereo cassette player. However the quality of the sound is sub par. When the volume is anything more than half the clarity drops. I was purchasing this product to replace a cd to tape player that I bought at [...] about 4 years ago. Which is old and cheap. Now that I wanted to hook up an iPod nano to my car I wanted a better product. However when using the [...] no name brand Cassette adapter (that came with the portable CD player) I get a cleaner sound than with the Maxell product that I purchased here.

It gives very good sound quality in my car, and i love to hear my ipod since I bought it. there is not disturbance and sound is very clear and loud that i like it very much.
