Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very easy and intuitive to setup all of your devices. Very nice layout of buttons with a solid feel. The only downside I see so far is that there is a small delay to operate the various controls. If you have a DVR, the delay is somewhat frustrating. It becomes difficult to stop the FF and REW at the desired portion of video. Overall, a nice remote at a really good price.
