The VSX-517-K uses an advanced DSP digital technology to create independent sound fields that envelop you in an unmatched surround sound experience. In addition, the VSX-517-K features Basic Phase Control which is a bass management system that ensures a precise low frequency output, preventing unwanted distortion or coloring of the sound.
Moreover, the VSX-517-K presents superb audio reproduction that will be hard to match, by incorporating a 192 kHz/24-bit audio D/A converter, the surround sound experience becomes more enveloping with less signal noise. With connectivity to multiple A/V sources and a slew of DSP modes, the Pioneer VSX-517-K offers superb functionality that will be hard to match.
"5.1-Channel and Digital Audio Decoding
The VSX-517-K uses specific Dolby Digital and DTS codecs to reproduce an enveloping 5.1-Channel surround sound experience. The unit encodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS, DTS 96/24, DTS-ES Discrete/Matrix 5.1, and WMA9 Pro Decoding.
