The RCA Scenium HD50LPW167 Digital Light Processing (DLP) microdisplay rear projection HDTV set incorporates Texas Instruments' DLP technology that delivers high contrast with rich blacks and dark detail, creating the optimum viewing experience. The HD50LPW167 is a Digital Cable Ready HDTV set that includes secure digital connections utilizing the High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) with HDCP copy protection offering the ability to connect to a set-top device and receive digital and audio signals on one small cable. An integrated ATSC Tuner/Decoder plus Digital Cable Ready circuitry enables reception of cable HDTV programming as well as over-the-air HDTV broadcasts without a separate digital cable set-top box. Terrestrial HDTV programming can be received with a rooftop or set-top antenna.

The RCA Scenium HD50LPW167 delivers remarkable picture performance in a lightweight design with a space-saving slim-line cabinet, and includes a full complement of convenience features. A seven-band Graphic Equalizer and Digital Audio Output provides for optimum connection of premium sound components so you can recreate the excitement of the theater from the comfort of a favorite chair. A full assortment of audio outputs (L/R plus subwoofer) and analog A/V recording outputs enable the recording of digital programming on standard VCRs. TV Guide On Screen" electronic program guide displays instant listings of TV shows and a quick review of current and future TV programs, while a six-device RCA Universal Remote Control with full LED backlight.

In addition to theater-like video performance, dynamic audio is achieved with SRS TruSurroundXT which utilizes the television's internal speakers, an external stereo playback system or any pair of headphones to create an extraordinary sound experience.
