I needed a wireless card to use in both Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux. I had some problems getting this card to connect to the wireless access point using Windows XP. In Ubuntu Linux, it connected immediately after I entered the pass phrase. I looked at the Linux connection information, and then rebooted into Windows and used that information to configure the card. Then I was able to get it to connect. The Quick Start guide booklet is very poorly done and difficult to read due to the small pictures and text font. If you're not computer savvy, you might want to choose another card. However, once I got it properly configured, it connects immediately in either OS and so far has performed well.
