Completely satisfied!

By Terry - get me through my workout from Orlando, Fla on 12/29/2009

Pros:

Good Bass, Comfortable, Lightweight, Great Sound

Describe Yourself:

Professional

Primary use:

Personal

Best Uses:

Music, Portable Devices, Working, Relaxing, Traveling, Working Out, With My Computer

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use the Denon's during my workout's and listening to music from iTunes - everything from hip-hop to neo-classical. They are perfect - best bass I've heard yet but the bass doesn't overpower the high-end. The mid-ranges are slightly muted but when I use them I am more focused on my activity than complex audio quality.

An excellent value, with a caveat

By Tom the headphone junkie Verified Purchaser from Philadelphia, PA on 08/11/2009

Pros:

Comfortable, Compact, Lightweight, Good Bass, Rich Sound

Cons:

Cord Too Short

Describe Yourself:

Audiophile

Primary use:

Personal

Best Uses:

Travel, Music, Portable Devices

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

For starters, these phones require 150-200 hours of burn-in, as most dynamic in-ear phones do. Out of the box, the highs are a bit harsh, but they settle down with burn-in. I also used Comply foamies with the Denons, which were much preferable to me over the included silicone tips. Main problem is that less than two weeks after receiving the Denons, the right channel went out. Denon has a very easy RMA process, but they did not pay postage for returning them for replacement, which kind of stinks, since they stopped working so soon after purchase. And I treated them very carefully. A new pair from Denon will be coming soon. I hope these prove more durable, since I barely used these phones before developed a problem. If the new pair has the same issues, I will return them to Beach for a refund.

Great Detail, Amazing Bass, Much Treble

By average_joe Verified Purchaser from Orange County, CA on 08/04/2009

Pros:

Rich Sound, Comfortable, Good Bass, Durable

Cons:

Cable Design

Describe Yourself:

Audiophile

Primary use:

Personal

Best Uses:

Music, Home Audio, With My Computer, Working Out, Travel, Portable Devices, Running

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This in ear monitor (IEM) is easy to get a good seal with (which is ultra important in IEM sound quality) and very comfortable. The tips enter your ears at an angle, which seems to lead to the ease of getting a good seal. The sound signature accentuates the treble and bass; the bass is fantastic, deep, powerful, fast, and dynamic. But the mids is where this IEM shines IMO as the mids are crystal clear and very detailed. The treble can be slightly harsh since it is very prominent, but most of the time it is smooth. The presentation is very fun and exciting, but at the expense of accurate sound as the bass and treble are exaggerated. The treble can be tamed with the use of the foam tips. If you like bass, can handle a lot of treble energy, and want great detail and clarity, these are a great choice; they get a lot of my ear time!
