Good projector

By Anonymous from CA on 06/27/2012

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The 1770W is an excellent projector. It has excellent hi-definition projection using the 3LCD technology and widescreen capability that works great with my widescreen laptop. They give a rather long USB cable to project from a computer using Plug-and-Play (i.e., no software installation required, but you have to be logged in as administrator to use the USB cable). The only bad thing I can say about this, and all, Epson projectors is the USB memory stick (PC-free) option. I was under the false impression that PC-free meant the ability to projector documents and PowerPoint presentations without a computer. PC-free, with Epson, simply means that you can project picture files and PowerPoint-converted-with-Epson-software slideshows only -- no documents, no PDF, no ppt files. If you want something that projects documents without a computer, do not buy Epson products UNLESS IT SAYS "Microsoft Reader software included," but I don't think Epson has that software included on any projector.

PowerLite 1770W Multimedia Projector (White)

By PindropHearingofRochester from Rochester, MN on 05/24/2012

Bottom Line:

We called the 800 number to order the 1760, but it was out of stock. The sales person suggested we try the PowerLite 1770W Multimedia Projector, and he was willing to offer a 10% discount. We ordered it, and it was shipped overnight via FEDEX. For our first live 8 hour seminar, it worked well. Good solid machine. I recommend it.

1770w projector

By 1770w is awesome from Colorado on 11/08/2011

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

i think that this is the best projector out there for a office or school. The size is outstandingly good and the brightness of it is very good for just a tiny projector. I also like about how it has a HDMI output and a audio out so that you can plug in speakers to. The weight of it is the best. 3.7 pounds that's lighter than the one i used to have. This is the best projector no doubt that there is a better one than this.

Quick Response

By Brooks from Washington State University on 09/21/2011

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

When I first tested the projector I noticed how quickly it responded, no more waiting for the bulb to warm up or cool down. I also noticed how easy it was to set up, all the quick resizing buttons were easy to find and use. It even worked with my ancient laptop, so no worries over compatability. I like the menu options for adjustment to pictures, amount of bulb hours recorded, and the handy remote control. I like the arrow option on the remote, although that doesn't move as quickly and easily, it is good for a main point. For some reason I couldn't get the page up and down to move on the remote, but it may be a laptop issue. I have another remote anyway, so not a big issue. My boss loves how light weight it is and compared it to his iPad and how he feels he can carry it easily through airports without stretching his arms out of shape. I very happy with this projector.
