A Solid Double DIN

By Radio Genius Verified Purchaser from Laurel, Maryland on 05/02/2008

Cons:

Some Limitations

Describe Yourself:

Commuter, Practical

Pros:

Durable, Easy Controls, Attractive Design, Nice Features

Best Uses:

Larger Cars, Small Cars

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is pretty much a solid double DIN radio. The buttons are small but practical, they could be a bit larger but the remote makes up for it. Like all other radios, I wish it was HD-Ready. The cassette player is solid and better built than I thought. Overall, I am extremely happy with this product.

Works well

By ME Verified Purchaser from Gurnee IL on 04/19/2008

Cons:

Buttons Are Small

Describe Yourself:

Commuter, Practical

Pros:

Nice Features, Easy Controls, Attractive Design, Easy To Install

Best Uses:

Small Cars

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Works well for me, who regularly listens to all the types of media cassettes/cds/radio. (I haven't used the ipod jack yet so can't comment on it.) It was easy for me to figure out how to use the controls and set things up. However if you do not have good eyesight and small fingers...the buttons, which are quite small may be difficult to use. (The small buttons are the only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.)The remote control seems to make up for some of the draw backs of the small buttons. I'm not a techy person, which means if the basic controls are easy for me to understand/ set up they should be easy for anyone. I'm also not fussy about sound quality so I don't fuss with the EQ etc settings and so far everything sounds fine to me with a basic set up. I had it installed by Circuit City (installer has been doing this for several years)...went smoothly...less than an hour during which time I know he answered the phone etc. So I would imagine someone who knew what they were doing could easily install it themselves.

excellent sound, great price

By Radio from NJ on 10/26/2007

Cons:

Difficult Controls, Controls Are Small

Pros:

Cassette Player Is Tops, Attractive Design

Best Uses:

Larger Cars

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Sound is great improvement over oem; even with oem speakers (I did not upgrade speakers). Cassette player is fantastic -- old audio tapes sound like new; clariy and depth of sound is terrific. This unit is a tremendous bargain. Only downside is small controls, but remote compensates for that. Would highly recommend.

overall good, but tape hiss a problem

By Dave the Rave from Gaithersburg, MD on 10/23/2007

Best Uses:

Any Car

Nice unit, but lots of tape his when playing poorer quality audio tapes that have primarily non-music content. Controls are practically invisible, especially on a dashboard that is set back, like my grand marquis.

The worst radio reception ...

By Gayle W Verified Reviewer from Undisclosed on 10/17/2006

The worst radio reception of any radio out there. I get one station from the entire AM/FM bands. My antenna is functioning perfectly. My old '71 Malibu original AM radio is picking up stations from one end of the dial to the other but this thing picks up
