Pros:

Best Uses:

Family, Children

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My 4 year old has been eager to learn and his main area of interest has been numbers. Although he could count, recognition was still a struggle for him. It didn't take very long for Ethan to catch on to the simple instructions. We have been playing using the cookies with the numbers facing up. He has to match the number on the cookie with the number on the spaces in the cookie jar. We will continue playing this way until Ethan masters number recognition. When he has that down, flipping the cookies over is the next step. That side of the cookie has dot patterns for the children to count and fill their cookie jar. Ethan enjoys playing this game because (1) it is fast paced and doesn't drag on (his attention span wouldn't allow him to focus for too long) and (2) he shows a great deal of pride when he recognizes a number he struggled with before. I enjoy the game for the exact same reasons.

My Kids Loved Playing with the Cookies!

As soon as my kids got a look at the outside of the box they were begging to play the "cookie game". We opened it up to play and everyone chose a cookie jar playing card. There are two levels of play for younger and older kids which is great with my children because my oldest was able to play at the higher level while my son played on the beginner level in the same game. The baby just enjoyed collecting cookies and matching them to her board. Once our game was over my kids continued to play with the cookies. They were sorting colors and lining up the numbers in order. I was happy to see that the game is fun and educational and the individual pieces can be used in many ways for other concepts besides the ones listed on the box. I also like that the pieces to the game are very sturdy and durable. This game will last a long time and was made with young children in mind.

My Daughters are 3.5 and almost 6 years old. Sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge to find games that work for both ages. With the Smart Snacks Counting Cookies Game there are two levels of play. This makes it easy for you to customize the game to your players' skill levels. Both girls enjoyed playing this game. It held their attention for a fairly long time. I feel confident in saying will be one of our favorite family games for a while to come.
