Inexpensive, Easy To Use, Compact, Convenient
As a 20-year pro, I wanted to upgrade my 8 megapixel point-&-shoot and when I saw this 14.7 megapixel camera, I went for it. I'm still getting to know it just having the camera for less than a month, but diggin' the RAW capability (rarely seen in point & shoot cameras today), the massive 14.7 MPs (sure it's packed into a small image sensor, but what would anyone expect for the great price and compact size?), as well as the quick menu options. For some reason, the auto rotate function isn't working, so I have to rotate any vertical shots (hope to fix that or figure out why), but in general I'm very pleased. I wanted it to be the same size or smaller than my last (a great 8MP camera) and it is - I feel the Leica mass-produced lens is nice as well, and using a 8 GB card gives me over 300 images on the highest file size (RAW + JPEG, which is what I use on my 35mm DSLR). I highly recommend it to anyone- sure the digital noise increases with the higher ISO, but you can expect everything in such a beautiful small package. Well done Panasonic.
