I recently bought this camera after my TM90 was stolen. The new V700 sports larger sensor (which results in lower image noise and higher dynamic range), external image stabilizer and mode selection controls, 6.1 megapixels for still images (15.3 megapixels total). There are video samples on YouTube, but keep in mind that when you upload a video clip, YouTube compresses it. HD Writer AE software doesn't upload video clips on Facebook in HD while uploading them in HD on YouTube. I wish I could select the video quality to make sure I'm uploading the highest quality possible without any compression. Another confusion is in tech specs. It says the camcorder has 21x optical zoom while my camcorder shows 26x. In a lens section of specs the focal length is 2.82-59.2mm which is almost 21x, a little further it says 35mm camera equivalent 28.0-717.4mm which makes 26x zoom. There is no need for USB 3.0 since the SD card Class 10 provides only 10MB/s. Another thing I wish in this camcorder is the "shutter speed" lower than 1/30 to capture the night sky (or I just didn't find it yet). Other than that the camcorder is just a great purchase.
