Excellent Value

By DAR from Northeast Ohio on 04/09/2015

Pros:

Easy To Use, Compact, Convenient, Durable

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is my second set of Panasonic phones. The first set is still working and donated it. I am very pleased with the new phones. They are easy to use and program; easy to add numbers to phone book. The only think I wish they had is a charging light. The other set had a light that indicated the phone was charging. This set does have an icon that indicated the level of charge, but you have to take the phone off the stand to check it. It is a small item and does not affect my opinion of the excellent value of this set.

Good phone, but poor sound quality, only 24 digits

By HB from Framingham, MA, USA on 08/05/2013

Pros:

Durable, Inexpensive, Easy To Use, Compact

Cons:

Poor Quality, Difficult To Use

Bottom Line:

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Though the incoming sound quality is quite good, and better than Panasonic phones from a few years ago, the outgoing sound quality, which most reviewers fail to check, is quite bad, sounding like a 3G cell phone. The directory can only store up to 24 digits per number, so this phone cannot conveniently be used to check credit card balances, or to make international calls using discount calling cards.

Very Good Phone with Great Battery Life

By Mac4PC from Syracuse, NY on 03/28/2013

Pros:

Great Battery Life, Excellent Range, Exceeded Expectations, Durable, Good Sound And Performance

Cons:

Each Built In Phone Book Limited To 50 Numbers, Does Not Support Bluetooth, Can Not Dial From Answering Machine Unit

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We purchased this phone set when the model was first released and have been very satisfied with the phone. (The only reason I gave 4 stars for value was the price has since come down.) The overall quality of this phone is excellent. Great sound from the earpiece and speakers. Battery life (talk time) on a full charge is about 10 hours for us. Batteries will hold a charge for about 3 weeks. (Obviously battery performance will degrade as the batteries are used.) We love the fact that the batteries take the form of rechargeable AAA's rather than the proprietary battery of our previous phone. The integrated phone book / directory is very nice - set up on any handset and all the handsets have access to the phone book. The con is the phone book is limited to 50 numbers I believe, but there is 2 phone books for a total of 100 numbers. We also like the choices of ringtones and the ability to have each handset have an individual ringtone. The ability to name each handset is also nice. Setup and for most features of the phone is accessed through menus on the screen. Not too hard for people savvy with technology but I did have to set up the phone for my mother. (We bought her the identical phone set so she could call us if she had a question about the phone.) The ability to hear messages and manage messages from any handset is very convenient. Space is limited to 15 minutes or so of saved messages. Another great feature is the ability to hear a message as it is being saved from any handset; each handset can turn off this feature if desired. Overall we are very happy with this phone. Recommended.
