Flip And Swivel Display, Quality Construction, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Good Display
This player is _mostly_ good. There are a few things about it that I wish were different. Mostly, I bought it for car video for my kids. They aren't old enough to be able to tell the difference between DVD quality and VCD quality, so the main audience is easy to please. That said, it does have a very nice display. The sound quality is pretty good (considering the tiny speakers). In addition, the sound has a great range from very soft to very loud.
One thing that I didn't expect was that there is no power button on the remote control. If you are watching a video with the lid swiveled and flipped (like a tablet), then the only way to turn it on/off is with the power button that is folded behind the display. Very inconvenient. I would forgive this if the remote could turn it on or off, but it can't.
The final thing that irks me about this device is that there are two places marked with 'power/charge/remote sensor'; one on the front lower right hand side of the display and one on the top left edge. For me, the one on the top left edge does not seem to work with the remote. I am not sure if they merely mis-marked the device or if mine is broken.
Over all, though, it is a good little machine. I love the size -- it is big enough to be very visible and smaller than a laptop.
