Front Usb, Led Display At Night, Improved The Sound Of My Stock Speakers, Zappin
Fm Reception Seems Weak Sometimes, Buttons Small While Driving, Mode Button With Radio, Buttons At Night
I've owned the radio about 3 or 4 months in my Saab 9-2x and overall I am pleased with this unit. The sound improved significantly with my stock 6 speaker system. My biggest gripe with the system are the buttons and how they are lit. The blue is fine during the day but is absolutely blinding at night; it lights up my entire car at night, the red is fine during the day but makes the buttons seem blurry at night, and the green is barely noticeable during the day and is lit a little too dim at night. I find myself switching the illumination while driving - I still haven't found a happy medium for the illumination after all these months. The ipod control is a breeze to use and the ZAPPIN feature is used more often than I thought it would be. The display shows the track information very well and I like the way it auto scrolls the information. The radio has 18 fm presets and 12 am presets. The only thing I do not like is that in order to go through the bands you have to press the mode button repeatedly to go from fm1 to fm2 to fm3 to am1 and am2 - not the safest thing to do while driving. If I'm on fm1 and I want a station on am2, I have to press the small mode button 4 times. One other thing I have noticed is that I can not turn off the clock display. I already have a separate spot in my car for the clock so now I have 2 clocks in my car. Overall, like I said I'm happy with this unit and would recommend this model or any line of Sony products to everyone. The negatives I mentioned are really just nitpicking.
